About the Role

  • You'll join the Data organization, assisting in the building and operation of the core technologies that enable data scientists, analysts, and various business units to leverage rich data efficiently.
  • You will work closely with the Data Platform team, learning and applying established standards for data governance, observability, and scalability across the organization.
  • You’ll be a vital contributor, providing support and maintenance for key platform components and data products used daily across the company.

  • You'll work closely with other business units to understand the challenges they face and apply an engineering vision to create structured and scalable solutions to those challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipeline components under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Learn and apply data governance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to data quality, consistency, and security standards.
  • Monitor platform health via observability dashboards and alarms (i.e DataDog).
  • Learn and utilize existing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules (preferably Terraform) for platform deployment and configuration changes.
  • Create and support internal tools and libraries that simplify and unify the process of building data-driven applications.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, and stakeholders to understand what data is required and how best to make it available in our Data Platform.

About You

  • You have experience with Python and frameworks like FastAPI or Django.
  • You have experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • You have worked with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL or similar data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
  • Understand clean software architecture principles (e.g., Hexagonal Architecture).
  • You are eager to learn Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools.
  • You have a strong understanding and practical experience with Git for version control and are curious about continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • You are interested in learning about real-time data processing concepts and technologies like Kafka.
  • You are proactive, driven, and bring positive energy to your work, thriving in dynamic settings.
  • You are proficient in business English, ensuring clear and effective communication in a professional setting.

It would be a plus if you...

  • Collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team, interacting with roles like data analysts, data scientists, marketing, and product managers to meet project goals and deliver actionable insights.
  • Have experience with real-time analytics databases like ClickHouse or TinyBird.
  • Understand event-driven architectures and their implementation in data systems.
  • Use BI tools such as Metabase or Superset for data visualization and reporting.
