Essential Job functions/ Duties:
- · Under the direction of the Managing Director - Sales, responsible for the marketing of mainly oranges.
- · This includes establishing prices and weekly movement schedules.
- · Is responsible for the preparation of offers and daily movement of shipper’s inventories to be coordinated between Packinghouses and Sales.
- · Maintains close communication with Packinghouses, Regional Directors and sales offices for the purpose of marketing opportunities and/or problems for oranges.
- · Maintain current knowledge of the competitive situation in the market place.
- · Makes analysis of sales and supply information in order to make effective pricing decisions.
- · Accepts assignments given by Managing Director, which include oral and written presentations to various groups, written crop and market analysis reports, etc.
- · As required will assist Lemon, Grapefruit/Tangerine Varietal Managers and Claims & Allowance Administrator
- · Attends meetings as requested.
- · Occasional travel; may be up to 25% annually.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Certifications/Licenses, and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent
- Four years direct sales experience in fresh fruit sales or marketing in the Sunkist system or applicable related experience.
- Ability to utilize discretion in making pricing decisions.
- Ability to handle difficult and complex high-level situations in an effective manner.
- Ability to work under intense pressure and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must be highly proficient in PC particularly Excel, Access, and Power Point and data warehouse.
- Free to travel away from home for periods not to exceed one week.
- Must have the ability to prepare speeches, presentations, and other materials for a high executive level.
- Ability to effectively work simultaneously on many priorities, which change frequently.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with several levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet firm deadlines.
- Ability to utilize discretion in making pricing decisions.
- Ability to handle difficult and complex high-level situations in an effective manner.
- Ability to work under intense pressure and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
