Scope of Position: The Senior Specialist, Repair and Maintenance (Electrical), will complete semi-skilled and skilled repair and maintenance work orders as assigned by the Manager, Repair and Maintenance. Serving in this role will encompass assisting with and/or performing daily preventative and regulatory maintenance work orders and/or repair requests.

Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate a welcoming and safe environment for all team members and those served, promoting a positive and collaborative work culture. 
  • Perform electrical tasks assigned through the WinShape computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical systems and infrastructure across all facilities. This includes expertise in both single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, which are commonly found in residential and commercial settings.  
  • Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of electrical components, including single-phase and three-phase motors, motor control centers, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and control systems. 
  • Work with electrical contractors and vendors, as directed by management, to support the repair, installation, or upgrade of electrical components and systems, with a focus on high-voltage and specialized equipment. 
  • Maintain the work order log by regularly auditing, documenting, and updating the status of electrical-related tasks within the CMMS. 
  • Ensure all electrical tools, testing equipment, and workspaces are kept clean, safe, and organized. 
  • Complete required annual safety training and perform all electrical work in strict adherence to national and local electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and established safety standards. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Repair & Maintenance. 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • A minimum of six years of electrical experience in residential and commercial settings, with a proven track record of working on both single-phase and three-phase systems. 
  • A valid electrical license, Journeyman or Master Electrician certification is preferred. 
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. 
  • A strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard electrical safety practices. Experience with high-voltage systems and switchgear is a plus. 
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for various system types (e.g., delta, wye). 
  • Proficient in the use of standard electrical testing tools and equipment, such as multimeters, clamp-on amp meters, and phasing sticks. 
  • The ability to bend, stretch, stand, and walk for extended periods, as well as lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information with clarity and simplicity. 
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by business needs.
