We are looking for another dedicated person to join us. We have an immediate opening for a full time Supplier Quality Engineer. If you have a passion for excellence and would like to join one of Santa Barbara County's top employers then we'd like to talk to you.
The Supplier Quality Engineer plays a key role in the development, implementation, and execution of supplier management strategies to ensure quality and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements of all outsourced services, raw material and components. This role requires a professional who can work cross-functionally with teams such as procurement, purchasing, engineering, R&D, and operations to manage supplier performance, sourcing strategies, and risk mitigation initiatives. Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in engineering or related discipline; or a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a regulated industry and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in supplier quality in a regulated industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Required:
- Working knowledge of supplier quality standards (ISO 90001, ISO 13485)
- Proven ability to manage suppliers and projects independently.
- Strong with CAPA processes and quality systems documentation.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with supplier audits and risk evaluations.
- Ability to travel occasionally for supplier visits or audits.
Preferred:
- Experience in FDA-regulated industries (e.g., medical, device, pharmaceuticals)
- Certified Lead Auditor on ISO13485
