The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is seeking an outgoing, reliable Visitor Survey Assistant to help collect feedback from museum visitors. This is a part-time, entry-level role ideal for people who enjoy friendly, public-facing work.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility is to approach museum visitors in a friendly, confident manner and invite them to complete a short survey on an iPad. You’ll help us gather valuable feedback to improve the visitor experience.

Key tasks include:

  • Proactively engaging visitors as they exit the museum.
  • Clearly explaining the survey’s purpose and encouraging participation.
  • Assisting visitors with iPad surveys as needed.
  • Representing the museum in a professional, welcoming way.

Hours & Schedule

  • ~10 hours per week.
  • Shifts are 2–3 hours, pre-scheduled in advance.
  • Afternoon and evening shifts available.
  • Coverage needed Wednesday through Sunday; some weekends required.

Qualifications

  • 17 years or older.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with the public.
  • Friendly, approachable, and confident demeanor.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional.
  • Able to stand or walk for most of a 2–3 hour shift (reasonable accommodations will be made).
  • Comfortable using an iPad (basic tech skills).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required

Compensation

  • $15/hour
  • Paid biweekly through MFAH payroll.
