Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Job Role

 

Receive samples daily. Organizes them as per the current Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Registers samples daily into the Oil Lab System. Enter additional test results by electronic transfer or manual input. Maintains history for all enrolled units and confirms records are accurate and complete.

 

Registers fuel and coolant samples in the oil lab system. Pack and deliver samples to the parts warehouse to be shipped to the Peoria Caterpillar Laboratory as per the current Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Conducts weekly and monthly inventory audits and submit orders of needed items to supervisor. Put away inventory items that are delivered to the laboratory.

 

Assist in the lab when registration duties are completed.

 

Answers laboratory telephones, electronic communications and assists customers with their needs.

 

Performs tasks in a safe manner. Ensures all required personnel protection equipment is worn.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

 

Formal Education High School diploma or GED

 

Experience 6 months or less

 

Required / Credentials

 

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

 

Basic computer skills to include 10-key.

 

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

 

Prior office experience desired

 

Updating of Knowledge

 

Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
