Your Role as a Veterinary Assistant

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our Oxford team. In this role, you will:

  • Provide Exceptional Care: Support doctors and technicians in delivering attentive, high-quality care across cats, dogs, and exotics—from wellness visits to emergency situations.

  • Build Lasting Connections: Create meaningful relationships with pets and their families, offering compassion and reassurance in every interaction.

  • Work in a Team-Oriented Culture: Collaborate closely with a supportive, energetic team in a clinic that values your contributions.

  • Grow Your Skills: Develop your abilities in both urgent care and general practice, gaining valuable experience that broadens your veterinary expertise.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 6 months of experience as a Veterinary Assistant

  • Clinical proficiency in tasks such as IV catheter placement, blood draws, patient monitoring under anesthesia, surgery prep, vaccine administration, and euthanasia assistance


Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

  • Comfort restraining and handling a wide variety of animal species and temperaments

  • Stamina to stand, bend, and move throughout long, fast-paced shifts

  • Readiness to assist in both routine and urgent care procedures
