Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company safety policies and procedures.
• Confer with management, customers and production to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Suggest and work to implement policies, standards and procedures for Maintenance and Engineering work performed throughout the plant.
• Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or specifications.
• Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance crew.
• Compile data, write reports, and confer with engineers, internal customers, and other personnel regarding existing and potential engineering projects.
• Collect plant location data to determine operating efficiency of mechanical equipment.
• Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience working as an engineer and similar leadership roles.
• Excellent understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Proven knowledge in working on PLC and PC based control platforms including: ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Kinetix, and PowerFlex

• Proven knowledge in working with AC/DC circuits for proper design of machine and electrical control systems.
• Competent in Microsoft products (Windows, Office, etc..) as well as MS-DOS.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, RDP, VNC protocols.
• Able to read and understand: VBA, C++, C#, RS-Logix.
• Able to use virtual machines such as VMWare, VirtualBox and Hyper-V.
• Basic Knowledge of MS-SQL and databases.
• Experience in working with AutoCAD(2D) and SolidWorks(3D).

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and approachable attitude.
• Ability to manage demands of the position which Includes weekend work and on call support 24/7.
