SUMMARY
The Deposit Services Officer Is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of deposit related transactions and functions. This role supports the Bank(s) deposit servicing team including account maintenance, transaction processing, regulatory compliance, and branch support for deposit products and services. This role will include the management of the Banks(s) overdraft program and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. The Deposit Services Officer will be responsible for managing the Bank(s) portfolio of Individual Retirement clients and associated regulations. This role requires a combination of decision making, attention to detail, and effective issue management. The Deposit Services Officer will be required to possess a deep understanding of a multitude of processes with regulatory requirements & ramifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the daily deposit services activities including account opening maintenance, closures, and exceptions processing.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of return item maintenance, monitor and resolve errors or exceptions and rejected items relating to deposit products
- Assist with the reconciliation of deposit accounts and investigation of discrepancies which includes daily settlement and Inclearing proof to ensure the bank is in balance with its correspondents & the Federal Reserve.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records in compliance with internal policy and external regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with branches and customer service teams to resolve customer inquiries and issues related to deposit products
- Manage compliance with state and federal regulations and Bank policy pertaining to the functions within the department, specifically, retirement products, overdraft privilege, levies, 18-65 compliance and Garnishment Rules.
- Monitor end-user error ratios and keep the Director of Deposit Operations informed of suspicious activity, unauthorized changes, or an increase in errors.
- Manage the Records Retention process for the Deposit Services. This includes monitoring retention, storage locations, destruction and creating documentation according to requirements.
- Manage the annual Abandoned Property Escheatment process for the bank according to State Law.
- Administrative tasks such as approving timecards, monitoring vacation requests and ensuring adequate staffing & management levels are adhered to.
- Assist with preparing materials for ALCO meeting.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement with discipline around end-to-end workflow/processes; participate and collaborate in the review and recommendation of operational systems and delivery channels, automate key processes where possible.
- Assist in the coordination of internal and external audit, exams, and reviews.
- Provide related operational support and guidance to staff as needed.
- Complete all internal Company training as assigned and required.
- Adhere to the Company’s privacy and data security policies including but not limited to safeguarding of sensitive information and complying with relevant regulations to protect non-public information.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Deposit Operations
- Management experience preferred; will consider continued progression and development in leadership skills.
- FIS deposit system knowledge preferred.
- Sound knowledge of deposit account rules, regulations, and guidelines, including, but not limited to, wire transfer, garnishment, levy’s.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Quality focused and detailed-oriented.
- Ability to work effectively and supportively with managers & staff.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of the banking and financial services industry including federal laws and regulations.
- Willingness to gain new knowledge and technical skills.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet the production needs of the position.
- Intermediate math skills: the ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio, and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, read, analyze, and interpret documents and professional journals, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.

Pay Range Disclosure
The pay range for this position is $105,229.34 to $145,817.80 per year and is the lowest to highest salary Charlesbridge in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
