Location: Ada Hospital 

Shift: Full time, Days Monday -Friday

Responsibilities:

We’re seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Acute Care certification to join our heart-centered team. In this role, you’ll provide primary health care and perform a range of medical services, working closely with our skilled physicians and caregivers.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Patient Care: Conduct thorough medical evaluations, take detailed histories, and interpret findings to provide top-notch care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain meticulous records and reports, while fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and medical staff.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Manage your own patient clinic for follow-up appointments, handle hospital rounding, and assist with new consults and discharge summaries.
  • Support: Be a key point of contact for physician pager calls when physicians are engaged in procedures.
Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner- National certification from a national certifying body acceptable by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in the following specialties: Adult Gerontology Acute Care (AG-AC NP) or Acute Care is required.

Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification within 60 days of hire.

 

Physician's Assistant - Baccalaureate degree or a minimum of two years of college credit or graduate from ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on education for the Physician Assistant) approved program. Current license as a Physician Assistant with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.

  

Licensure/Certification:   Current BLS certification required. 

 

Experience: Cardiology experience preferred.

 

As part of our nursing team, you are empowered to work collaboratively with our physicians and other caregivers, and play an integral role in setting the standard for excellence in patient care. With low, fixed nurse-to-patient ratios, our nursing team has time to get to know their patients and their families while providing the highest quality, safe, patient-focused care. Patient rooms are fully stocked with all necessary supplies and arranged in a circular, pod layout around each nursing station to streamline patient care and save our nursing team time.
