HOURS PER WEEK: 40
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for scheduling crews, overseeing mining and processing operations, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Duties include supervising crushing, screening, washing, blasting, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment, and enforcing MSHA safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES

• Plan, assign, and adjust daily and weekly work schedules for multiple crews.
• Make quick decisions to meet production and sales demands.
• Supervise crushing, screening, washing, and mining operations for sand, gravel, and granite landscape rock.
• Ensure consistent quality control and run material samples for laboratory analysis.
• Monitor production processes to maximize efficiency and output.
• Oversee mechanical and electrical functions of aggregate processing plants.
• Troubleshoot plant and heavy equipment for necessary repairs.
• Schedule and direct maintenance crews for production equipment and rolling stock.
• Make recommendations on mining equipment needs.
• Enforce MSHA safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
• Adapt to evolving safety standards and maintain a safety-first culture.
• Become a responsible person for the blasting program (requires an ATF background check).
• Apply knowledge of underwater excavation methods.
• Lead, train, and develop tribal members and other employees in mining and production processes.
• Promote teamwork and effective communication across crews and departments.
• Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and safety records.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff on production needs and progress.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
• Required to possess knowledge of the mechanical and electrical functions of aggregate processing plants.
• Will be responsible for troubleshooting all plant equipment for repairs.
• Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain records. Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Possess a valid in-state driver’s license. Preferably CDL Class A
• Candidates must have a mining certificate with Part #46 training, 3–5 years of experience in aggregate operations, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
WORK CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
• Sit, walk, reach, lift, twist, bend, and stand for 67-100% of the workday.
• Eye/hand coordination and wrist motion for 67-100% of the workday.
