Description

The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead a strategic next-generation product program at LightForce Orthodontics. This program represents a significant expansion of our product portfolio, complementing our existing offerings and integrating seamlessly with our digital planning and indirect bonding capabilities. The role requires exceptional program management skills to navigate an extremely complex technical path, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery across hardware, software, and manufacturing domains.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive a strategic product program through its entire lifecycle, managing complex technical integration within LightForce's personalized orthodontics system
  • Develop comprehensive program plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and critical paths, balancing technical complexity with business objectives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, manufacturing, and clinical affairs to ensure alignment and successful execution
  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans for the most complex technical challenges
  • Lead weekly program updates and status reports for executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Manage resource allocation across multiple workstreams, ensuring optimal team composition to address technical complexities
  • Establish and maintain program governance, including decision-making frameworks, change management processes, and escalation paths
  • Drive continuous process improvement within the program and across the organization
  • Balance competing priorities and make data-driven decisions to keep the program on track
  • Provide technical leadership on complex manufacturing, material science, and digital workflow integration challenges

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs with significant technical complexity and interdependencies
  • Track record of successful program delivery at scale with significant technical components

Required Qualifications

  • Expert-level program management skills with ability to lead complex technical initiatives from concept to launch
  • Deep understanding of hardware/software development lifecycles and manufacturing processes
  • Excellence in stakeholder management with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience managing risks and dependencies in technically complex environments
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to influence without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of 3D printing technologies and workflows
  • Experience with material science and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Experience leading transformative or first-of-its-kind programs
  • Knowledge of design controls and quality system requirements for medical devices

Physical Demands

  • May require occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and partner locations
  • Primarily office-based work with standard physical demands of an office environment
