JOB SUMMARY

The Systems Administrator II is responsible for supporting the business’s technology operations under the guidance of the department head of IT. Will support approximately 250 users/devices and approximately 20 servers consisting of Windows and MacOS, Active Directory/Azure/Entra, VMWare, and Meraki/Ubiquiti networks, as well as SaaS applications such as Salesforce. This position will provide first line assistance as well as advancing technology adoption, automation, and continuously improving security. 

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure proper configuration and security of the organization’s systems.
  • Fulfill and respond to service and incident requests: Build, deploy, upgrade, move, support, and troubleshoot computers, software, printers, phones, copiers, faxes, network connectivity, etc.
  • Perform desktop administration and support for all desktop applications (CAD, ERP solution client, Office365, Adobe software, Windows 10/11, MacOS, iOS).
  • Document, maintain, and support the company’s information network, including hardware (Windows PC’s, Android devices, Apple devices, thin clients, and printers) and software (this includes support of production-related hardware and software), operating system upgrades, and patch management.
  • Manage and administer SaaS solutions: MS365, Intune, Defender, Cloudflare, Checkpoint Harmony/Avanan, Salesforce, MS Teams/Teams Phone, helpdesk ticketing software.
  • Application management and support, including Esko, Adobe, and proprietary industry applications. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain Systems infrastructure and server management. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain Storage and data management solutions.  
  • Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery services.
  • In coordination with the ERP Administrator, assist managing ERP software, services and associated equipment.  
  • In conjunction with the Director of IT and Senior Leadership Team, develop and maintain disaster plan for information and data storage and recovery within company approved Return to Operation and Restore Point Objective criteria.  
  • In coordination with the Director of IT and Senior Leadership Team, design, implement, and maintain Information Security strategies and policies.
  • In coordination with the Director of IT, develop short and long-term MIS plan and strategy for the company, including budget considerations, approved applications, and devices standards.
  • Plan and manage networks and telecommunications vendors.  
  • Deliver core services and support to remote offices, including travel when necessary. 
  • Provide effective resolutions to hardware and operating system software problems utilizing industry best practices.
  • Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the organization.
  • To the best of your ability, assist employees in the use of hardware and software business tools when requested.
  • Active Directory and Azure Active Directory management and support.
  • Working knowledge of network technologies such as DNS, DHCP, Cisco Meraki firewalls and switching, Ubiquiti WiFi.
  • After-hours work as necessary and dependent upon organizational demands.
  • Ability to mentor others.
  • Design/write custom reports upon request.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the position.
