Position Description
This role requires a highly driven and self-motivated leader with a strong sense of urgency to oversee and optimize plant operations. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, this individual will align factory performance with broader organizational goals and business objectives.
Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential, as the Plant Manager will provide clear updates, performance reports, and strategic insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to inspire and engage employees, set clear expectations, and mobilize teams around shared objectives.
In addition, this leader will be adept at leveraging talent development and performance management to strengthen team capability, promote accountability, and build a high-performing, diverse workforce. A forward-looking approach to succession planning and employee growth will be critical in sustaining long-term success and organizational resilience
Job Responsibilities
- A Leader for Safety culture, always maintaining a safe work environment for all employees, ensuring compliance to all Company, local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Manufacturing Group
- Develop production plans that ensure products are delivered to a high-quality standard, on time, and on cost.
- Utilizing the principles of lean manufacturing, identify key areas to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness through improving processes & procedures, and workflow, resource allocation
- Develop and maintain appropriate controls and reports necessary to drive operational improvements in cost management, quality, and product lead-times.
- Ensures accurate manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, analyzing and correcting production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.
- Performance Management and Talent Development – In a timely and on a consistent basis provide candid feedback to employees regarding their performance. Challenge people to achieve their best and support them in their efforts for personal development.
- Establish succession plans for critical positions at all levels within the production organization with special emphasis on high skill production positions. Participate in the hiring process to continue to build strong, diverse teams.
- Leads operational efforts within manufacturing to meet cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage the PM and equipment needs throughout the facility.
- Participates and supports the data collection, evaluation and data integrity for CapEx purchases.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies when applicable.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports
Factory Employees both hourly and salary, leads, supervisors, shipping and receiving personnel. 15-30 employees.

Qualifications
- 1-2 years directly managing people.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a blended experience base in production, maintenance, planning, and quality assignments.

- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a blended experience base in production, maintenance, planning and quality assignments.
- Associate degree in operations, management, engineering or related field Equivalent work experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering or related field –or- equivalent work experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Proven track record of strong leadership and managerial skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of management and outside sources.
- Job and Construction site schedule understanding.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing. A passion and ability to truly engage people at all levels of an organization. A balanced focus between processes and systems as well as achieving results.
- An understanding of fundamental lean principles such as standard work creation and use, value stream mapping, 5S, kaizen events, etc. Proficient knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
- Must be able to effectively delegate and work collaboratively with other functional departments. Mine data and analyze, provide action plans and roadmaps to resolve simple to complex manufacturing challenges.
Compensation
The starting salary range for this position is $99,971.64-149,582.46 USD per year. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
