The Capacity Building & Training Coordinator plays a critical role in strengthening Victory Programs’ workforce through capacity building, staff development, and training initiatives. This position partners with Program Directors and the HR team to design and implement professional development opportunities, coaching, and workforce support that enhance staff skills and promote career growth. The Coordinator ensures that staff across the organization have the tools, training, and resources to succeed in their roles and advance within the agency. The position also supports HR functions, including onboarding and policy development.
Essential Functions:
- Design, coordinate, and support agency-wide training and professional development initiatives.
- Develop and deliver HR-focused training programs to enhance staff competencies in areas such as performance management, leadership, and HR compliance.
- Promote training opportunities internally and externally (e.g. via email announcements, intranet, newsletters)
- Maintain detailed records of training activities, schedules, and outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement.
- Track budgets for training programs, process invoices / payments.
- Handle logistics for training events: registration, attendees, certificates, venue, materials, catering, tech setup.
- Maintain records: course materials, attendee feedback, evaluation metrics.
- Work closely with HR, program management, leadership to align training & capacity building with organizational priorities.
- Share status, progress, and challenges in regular reports to Director or other leadership to identify staff development needs and create targeted training opportunities that strengthen workforce capacity.
- Coordinate with subject-matter experts, facilitators, and trainers.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local community-based organizations, schools, and colleges to create pipelines for staff recruitment and professional growth.
- Conduct organizational training needs assessments in collaboration with HR and department heads to identify skill gaps and capacity-building priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and agency events as requested.
- Support special projects as requested by the supervisor or designated administrative personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required; experience in nonprofit or social services settings strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years training experience and 2 years of experience in Human Resources
- Demonstrated experience in designing, facilitating, and evaluating staff training and professional development programs.
- Strong knowledge of capacity building strategies, adult learning principles, and inclusive training practices.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and partnerships across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, monitor progress, and use data to inform decision-making.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Position Type: Full-time (40 Hours) Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. On-site. Hybrid model considered after 6 months of continuous employment.
Rate: $70,000 Annually

Our benefit program includes a 75% health and 25% dental employer premium contribution, 100% employer paid disability and life insurance. Victory Programs offers a generous paid time off package to all employees including vacation, sick, and personal time as well as holidays. Upon hire, all staff are entitled to up to: 4 personal days, 160 sick hours, 10 holidays and 3 1/2 weeks of vacation. These figures adjust based on full time or part time status and allocated vacation time increases with length of employment.
