The Role: The Technical Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering impactful training programs that align with the H.W. Kaufman group goals. This role combines instructional design and technical training facilitation to creating engaging learning experiences across various formats and locations.

 

The Goal: Design engaging, learner-centered programs that enhance workforce capability and performance. The Technical Trainer will apply instructional design best practices, adult learning theory, and digital learning tools to develop innovative solutions tailored to diverse audiences. They will partner closely with stakeholders to align learning experiences with strategic objectives, while using data-driven insights to evaluate program effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and coordinate Salesforce training sessions for virtual and/or in-person delivery
  • Design and develop educational materials and e-learning content using platforms like Articulate 360, Canva, Synthesia, Camtasia, Kahoot and AI courses development tools
  • Work with subject matter experts to evaluate learning requirements and convert them into impactful learning experiences
  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination, preparation of materials for key on-site learning events
  • Responsible for planning and design for on-site learning programs to ensure a successful experience
  • Be a student of the business and keep up to date with insurance and organizational advancements
  • Stay current with advancements in relevant learning technologies, tools, and industry standards
  • Establish a partnership with marketing to ensure support of on-site programs
  • Ensure all materials from Kaufman Institute meet Marketing brand guidelines and standards
  • Approximately 50% Delivery & 50% Design

     

Qualifications:
  • 4+ Years, proven experience in instructional design, technical training, and program management
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Skilled with learning platforms (i.e. Articulate 360, Canva, Camtasia, Synthesia, Kahoot!)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask without being overwhelmed
  • Passionate about learning – both for personally and for others –while staying up to date on current learning trends
  • Manage time effectively and demonstrate a track record of delivering work on or before the deadline
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Insurance industry knowledge a plus
  • Potential travel approximately 15-30%
