SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Encompass LOS Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining the Ellie Mae Encompass loan origination system to support mortgage lending operations and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include system configuration, user setup, support, business rule creation, troubleshooting, custom report development, and system integration. Key qualifications include expertise in the Encompass platform, Encompass WEB, knowledge of mortgage workflows, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication. This role involves troubleshooting issues, implementing system updates, and supporting the technological needs of the organization, particularly in relation to mortgage and loan processing systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • System Administration: System Configuration, Customize and configure Encompass settings, fields, forms, and business rules/DDM rules to align with organizational processes and compliance requirements. Manage and implement workflow changes, templates, and reporting tools. Create and maintain custom input forms using Form Builder and Encompass WEB. Candidates need to have a strong grasp of writing business rules using Advanced Code using Visual Basic.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Collaborate with IT staff as needed.
  • System Security: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect company data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • User Management: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various systems, ensuring proper security measures are in place. Conduct quarterly and annual user reviews to ensure appropriate access levels
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and updates, facilitating knowledge sharing and compliance. Maintain log of system enhancement requests.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to identify technological needs and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Conduct efficiency reviews of the current system to identify improvement opportunities.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Encompass LOS administration.
  • Strong understanding and ability to write business rules and/or create custom screens using Advance Code.
  • Strong understanding and ability to develop and manage Encompass WEB.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft IT Administration is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Encompass Administrator, Software Developer Certs, etc.) are preferred.
