Description

The Asphalt Plant Manager at Ellsworth Materials Company is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the plant, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role encompasses overseeing plant expansion projects, equipment maintenance, process monitoring, and providing leadership in operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Expansion and Equipment Planning:
  • Participate in plant expansion projects, including planning and executing equipment installations and conversions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technologies to enhance production processes.
  • Maintenance and Security:
  • Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure plant security and protection measures are in place and effective.
  • Process Monitoring and Testing:
  • Monitor and test various plant processes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyze process data and implement improvements as needed.
  • Leadership and Staff Management:
  • Provide leadership in safety, quality, and staff scheduling.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance among staff.
  • Operational Management:
  • Plan, organize, direct, and run day-to-day operations to exceed company and customer expectations.
  • Increase production efficiency while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.
  • Quality and Environmental Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain quality programs to ensure product standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Cost Reduction and Efficiency:
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
  • Review and optimize the use of special machinery and technologies to improve products and processes.
  • Asphalt Production Supervision:
  • Oversee activities related to asphalt production, including raw material gathering, crushing, sorting, and quality control.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant operations or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and process improvement techniques.
