Job Description:

POSITION:                 Development Lead

JOB LOCATION:      5700 Tennyson Parkway, Suite 240, Plano, TX 75024  [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home/telecommute]

Development Lead needed by ENDAVA SOLUTIONS, LLC in Plano, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home/telecommute] to participate in requirement analysis, design databases, create technical specification documents, and develop strategies, Unix automation shell programs, and unit test cases by obtaining information on project requirements, limitations, and capabilities. Analyze business requirements and assess impact with existing database architecture. Analyze, design, and implement database structures. Apply development strategies to perform cross-platform development and utilize in-depth product knowledge assessment to validate the impact of code changes and their alignment with performance requirements. Perform end-to-end database program development and data verification by comparing database servers including Oracle 11g to Oracle 19c Exadata to ensure the web application and database server migration data do not conflict. Develop testing protocols based on business requirements. Perform testing to check the application when it is under significant load. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. Participate and apply Agile methodologies in development for continuous integration between development and testing to achieve higher quality database programs. Participate in agile ceremonies such as user story reviews, standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews and retrospectives. Integrate data storage solutions including NAS servers to store external files to the database, Exadata server for data storage to retrieve faster than other servers. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. Develop database programs/procedures and determine system performance standards. Utilize Unix Bash Shell scripts with Oracle environment connectors and SQL queries to develop efficient and error-free automation setup scripts for end-to-end processing of data using Tidal and ECG. Utilize WinSCP & Putty to execute the automation programs in the Oracle Exadata server. Ensure no breakage in the end-to-end setup. Configure Unix Shell scripts for Tidal to run daily. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. Prepare design architecture maps using Visio Tool. Prepare estimates for design and development work. Utilize one of the following programming languages: Oracle, Python, or SQL. Utilize with database management systems with Oracle and SQL Server. Utilize software development methodologies Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall. Work on analytical and problem-solving abilities. Work on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Lead and mentor a team of developers or engineers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in related occupation utilizing one of the following programming languages: Oracle, Python, or SQL; utilizing with database management systems with Oracle and SQL Server; utilizing software development methodologies Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall; working on analytical and problem-solving abilities; working on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; and leading and mentoring a team of developers or engineers. Experience may be gained concurrently.
