Job Purpose
This position is responsible for driving the company’s marketing and brand strategy to elevate market presence, deepen customer engagement, and support business growth. The Manager oversees integrated marketing initiatives—including product marketing and brand positioning—while leading a high-performing team. This role blends strategic and creative thinking with hands-on, data-driven execution across multimedia and stakeholder channels to build a compelling and consistent brand experience.

Team Leadership and Talent Development
• Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals; provide coaching, feedback, and performance development.
• Ensure marketing team understands brand positioning; key messages; marketing strategies, tools and channels; and customer programs.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and results-driven team culture aligned with company values.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment across marketing, communications, and business units.
Marketing Strategy and Brand Leadership
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business goals, customer needs, and market opportunities.
• Lead marketing efforts for high-visibility projects, program and product launches, and strategic campaigns.
• Lead brand positioning efforts to clearly articulate the company’s value proposition, differentiators, and strategic vision.
• Oversee the development and management of marketing deliverables from lead generation to post-customer enrollment, ensuring consistent messaging and brand positioning.
• Oversee planning calendar, advertising and market development efforts.
• Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to inform strategy, and drive innovation and business growth.
• Define and track strategic KPIs for marketing campaigns, leveraging performance analytics and ROI insights to drive continuous optimization. Deliver actionable data insights to leadership, enabling informed decision-making and alignment with broader business objectives.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient execution of marketing campaigns and to achieve performance targets.
Strategic Storytelling & Campaign Innovation
• Lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, video, and social platforms.
• Oversee development of high-impact content including product customer-focused collateral and brand storytelling.
• Manage editorial or campaign calendars and ensure timely execution of marketing deliverables.
• Deliver a customer-focused approach to development of messaging and assets.
• Bring a creative mindset and proven ability to develop fresh, innovative ideas to marketing strategy and execution.
• Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to lead the development and implementation of brand-building communications and strategies and market plans for programs, products and services.
• Collaborate with creative team to manage advertising assets and to ensure consistency of brand across campaigns.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in brand strategy, product marketing, and integrated campaign development.
• Experience in a regulated industry or publicly traded company a plus.

The position hybrid and office days are located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, where MGE is an active participant in community efforts to preserve the area's extraordinary quality of life.
