We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician with a strong background in electrical systems to support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in building systems maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and structural systems. This role requires a reliable, safety-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:- Building Maintenance: Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Electrical Systems: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot facility electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, lighting, and equipment.
- Painting & Drywall Repair: Execute interior and exterior painting, drywall hanging, taping, texturing, and repair.
- Tool Proficiency: Safely operate hand and power tools including drills, saws, sewer rodders, and sanders.
- Inventory Management: Purchase and track supplies, maintain an organized inventory, and manage shop areas.
- Communication & Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with diverse groups, provide clear instructions, and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Comprehension: Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and safety guidelines accurately.
- Time Management: Manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Written Communication: Document repairs, maintenance activities, and correspondence in a clear and professional manner.
- Delegation: Safely coordinate and lead small teams, allocating tasks to ensure project success.
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with demonstrated expertise in electrical systems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or coursework in electrical, HVAC, or related fields preferred.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical aptitude across electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
- Other: Must be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible shifts as needed.
- Computer Skills: Utilize software such as MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and email to complete documentation, reporting, and work orders.
The target base pay for this position is $31-$42/hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
