JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Accounts Payable is responsible for the mission, vision and goal of transforming the existing AP process to allow Coolsys to scale as we continue implementing our growth strategy. The ideal person for this role understands ownership of the entire process, has strong leadership skills, is proactive and intellectually curious and can effectively solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

· Own the entire Accounts Payable process from partnering with Purchasing on initial commitments through the accurate and timely processing of payments and recording of costs, including the ability to electronically store and efficiently retrieve all relevant documents as needed across the organization.

· Responsible for the integrity of the A/P sub-ledger and vendor master record updates, including discounts and terms.

· Responsible for hiring and recruitment efforts, driving and motivating performance, re-defining group culture and the supervision, training, and development of staff.

· In coordination with the Purchasing group, maintains strong relationships with vendors and provides direction to personnel in an effort to maximize A/P Days while maximizing term discounts.

· Drive the implementation of an automated A/P solution including full automation of the backup material for effective and efficient retrieval.

· Direct EDI oversight including invoice testing, setup, reconciliation and resolution.

· Establish and enforce the policies and procedures regarding the processing of invoices, wire transfers, check payments and ACH transactions.

· Serve as liaison for the accounts payable department in providing resolution to invoice disputes and inquiries, both from external (e.g. vendors, auditors, etc.) parties and internal customers.

· Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the progress of business objectives in A/P.

· Ability to perform vendor analysis, expense review and analysis, and ad-hoc reports.

· Support the month end close process on an as needed basis.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience.

· 8+ years of prior related work experience (construction or distributed service environment a plus).

· 3+ years of managing Accounts Payable teams is required.

· Proven ability to build, lead and motivate a team.

· Experienced in managing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).

· Previous experience with implementing an automated A/P solution.

· Strong analytical skills.

· Experience working with senior level management and supporting field partners.

· Friendly and approachable interpersonal skills.

· Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues, follow-up and implement solutions as required.

· Self-starter with continuous improvement mindset.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP.

· Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.

· Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
