JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Supervisor, Tubing Park
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Lift Manager/Director of Mountain Operations
SUMMARY: Responsible for day to day operations of Tubing Park and assistance to Lift/Tubing Manager as directed. Capable to perform administrative tasks as assigned including: direction of safety meetings, record keeping and assignment of tasks to lift and tubing attendants.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to work on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Must be in uniform when on duty.
- “Lead by example” for a safe work environment.
- Greet Guests in a friendly manner and assist with any questions or concerns.
- Oversees the daily operation of all ski lifts in a safe and professional manner.
- Assists with time management & scheduling for the lift & tubing operations staff.
- Coordinates all operations with Lift Maintenance staff to ensure proper operation and care of mechanical equipment.
- Understands and follows ANSI B-77 codes, as well as federal, state, insurance and manufacturers requirement for ski and tubing area operations.
- Assigns and facilitates shuttle of lift staff to work stations each shift.
- Maintains inventory of tools and supplies to ensure sufficient number on hand, proper usage, storage, etc.
- Performs routine cleaning of Lift Office and tubing operations work areas pre-season, throughout the season and in the spring following the close of the ski area operations.
- Must follow policies and procedures outlined in the Wintergreen Handbook and departmental training.
- Must be able to take on additional tasks and assignments as directed by the Lift Operations Manager, or Director of Mountain Operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Must interact with guests in a safe, friendly, and positive manner.
- Tolerable of working outdoors for extended periods of time in all types of weather conditions.
- Considered applicants must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have good organizational, administrative and leadership skills.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:
High school diploma OR GED equivalent AND two (2) years in a Supervising role.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT(S):
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Virginia driver’s license.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and capable to stand for extended periods of time.
