Essential Functions

1. Assist with administrative and operational tasks across pharmacy functions, including prescription processing, data entry, and inventory management.
2. Conduct basic computations and analysis relevant to pharmacy operations and patient care.
3. Support customer service initiatives by responding to inquiries and helping resolve issues in a timely, professional manner.
4. Collaborate with team members on special projects or assignments as needed.
5. Uphold all organizational and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance and ethical conduct.
6. Learning objectives for this internship will include the following: 1) Gain practical experience in pharmacy operations within a healthcare organization; 2) Develop professional communication and customer service skills; 3) Understand workflow processes and the role of pharmacy in a broader healthcare system; 4) Apply academic learning to real-world scenarios to support career development

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education, Licensure or Certification:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy program
• Active Kentucky Pharmacy Intern License in good standing
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
• Active involvement in campus organizations and/or community service preferred
• Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare, pharmacy, or related fields preferred
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future
Work Experience or Related Experience
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated passion for improving patient experiences and healthcare outcomes
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work
• Candidates must be able to comply with all applicable privacy, security, and safety policies
