We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for optimizing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes involving fluid handling, chemical compounding, and automated control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in fluid dynamics, rheology, and chemical processing, along with hands-on experience with pumping systems and PLCs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize chemical and fluid processing systems to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Analyze and model fluid flow and rheological behavior to support process development and scale-up.
  • Develop and refine compounding processes for various formulations, ensuring consistency and compliance with specifications.
  • Read and interpret PLC programs to support automation, process control, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality and Engineering to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for process deviations and equipment failures.
  • Establish, contribute and maintain documentation including process flow diagrams, SOPs, and validation protocols.
  • Actively support ongoing change management initiatives while ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred).
  • Experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, or specialty chemicals industries.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and other regulatory standards.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, rheology, and chemical processing principles.
  • Experience with compounding operations and/or formulation development.
  • Familiarity with various types of pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, etc.) and their applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret PLC logic and HMI interfaces (programming experience is a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (Any Logic, Rockwell Automation, MatLab, etc.) and data analysis tools.
