Your Role
The Stellarus finance team provides financial support to Stellarus, a new technology company being grown within the Ascendiun family of companies. The Financial Analyst, Senior will report to the Director of Finance for Stellarus. In this role you will be responsible for supporting day to day finance operations including partnering with all aspects of the Stellarus leadership team and with the accounting & corporate controllers team. You will own budgeting and planning for all non-technology functions of Stellarus, as well as partnering with accounting to ensure appropriate transfer pricing and intercompany transactions are being booked. In addition, you will provide ad hoc financial support for ongoing business cases for both products and new partners.
Responsibilities
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Lead budgeting activities for Stellarus product management, business operations and leadership functions
- Partner with the controllers team to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for capitalization and additional accounting concepts
- Work with global business services to help ensure contracting, both new and renewals, is done currently among Stellarus and Blue Shield of California and other partners
- Ad Hoc analysis on business case for new products and partners
- Provide policy guidance and interpretation to ensure financial records are consistent and comply with company policies and GAAP
- Ensure partnership and responsiveness to partners for financial analysis and/or reporting as necessary
- Support product P&L creation and financial systems enhancements
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Requires experience supporting contracting and with executive budgets
- Experience with fixed asset tracking and reporting desired
- Understanding of cost accounting and GAAP concepts desired
- Small company experience, including startup through early series rounds desired

Two Ways of Working:
- Hybrid (Default): Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above). Exceptions:

o Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.
