In Delano, we serve over 1,800 students in grades TK-12, while in Lost Hills, we serve over 400 students in grades TK-12.

Job Description:The Lead Custodian works in partnership with other members of the cleaning or custodial team to ensure the school is a clean, sanitized, healthy, and safe environment that supports student academic achievement.
Here's what you'll do:
Facilities and Grounds: Clean and supervise the cleaning and sanitizing of buildings, including classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, gymnasium, media center, locker rooms, auditoriums, lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, stairways, exterior grounds, storage areas, and other workspaces.
Cleaning may include, but is not limited to, removing trash, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, buffing, cleaning carpets, washing windows, scrubbing floors and ceilings, pressure washing, and sanitizing restrooms.
Safety: Meet all local, state, and federal sanitation guidelines; conduct emergency cleanup service; responsible for securing campus grounds at all times
Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance repairs and building/facility modifications such as repairing, moving, or assembling furniture; repairing custodial equipment; touch-up or cover-up painting; hanging teaching aids, etc. Submit requests for maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
Special Events: Move and arrange furniture and equipment in preparing multipurpose rooms or classrooms for special events or meetings
Special Events: Assist with staff or outside groups using the building for programs, special events, or assemblies. Perform set up and tear down of tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment; assist with training users on equipment as needed; and troubleshoot equipment problems. May lock/unlock areas for access for building use and events
Communication: Maintain accurate files and records, and prepare reports as needed; understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Qualifications:- High School Diploma required
- Custodial services or relevant experience, preferred
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Organization skills to maintain an appropriate inventory of supplies and consumables
- Self-starter and able to perform with minimal or no supervision
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, stand for long periods of time, work with arms extended above the body, work outdoors during inclement weather, and see and hear sufficiently to safely perform the duties listed above.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 am-6:30 pm
Pay: $21.00/hour.
