Overview
The Studio Operations Manager (Studio OM) is responsible for the overall functionality, safety, and efficiency of the studio. This role provides day-to-day oversight of the facility, manages operational projects, and serves as the liaison between Production, office teams, and external vendors. The Studio OM also leads the Studio Operations Coordinator and Front Office Assistant, ensuring smooth execution of all studio and office support services.
This position requires strong organizational and leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to balance immediate needs with long-term operational planning.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Studio Operations Team – provide guidance, support, and accountability for the Studio Operations Coordinator and Front Office Assistant.
- Oversee daily studio functions – ensure the building is operational, secure, and welcoming.
- Manage furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including procurement, maintenance, and replacement.
- Plan and oversee studio projects, from maintenance initiatives to space improvements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the property manager and landlord, fostering strong and collaborative relationships.
- Implement and uphold secure access and safety protocols – maintain workplace and employee safety and security.
- Act as one of three designated openers/closers for the studio, upholding proper opening and closing procedures.
- Coordinate with health, safety, and security vendors and facilitate staff training.
- Serve as first contact for emergencies.
- Serve as the point of escalation – take ownership of escalated operational issues and after-hours site needs.
- Oversee vendor & budget management – lead vendor outreach and communication for services such as cleaning, security, IT, and facilities maintenance.
- Track operational expenses, monitor budget allocations, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Support contract negotiations and implement cost-effective solutions for ongoing needs.
- Liaise with Production & IT teams – ensure studio facility needs are met before, during, and after shoots, and coordinate onboarding and provide light troubleshooting for office systems.
- Facilitate studio-based events – partner with internal teams to plan meetings, company gatherings, and other studio-based events. Prepare studio spaces, communal areas, and meeting rooms for daily use and special occasions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in studio operations, facilities management, or a related role.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and operational projects.
- Familiarity with IT systems, building security, and workplace safety protocols.
