Description
The Junior IT Support Analyst provides first-line technical support to end users, ensures smooth day-to-day IT operations, and assists in maintaining our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in technology, good problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Position Type/Expected: Hours of work: Part-time
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.
- Perform physical hardware troubleshooting and minor repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Handle minor mobile device management (MDM) responsibilities, such as provisioning and configuring company computers and mobile devices.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when necessary.
- Manage user accounts, including creation, modification, and deactivation.
- Assist in deploying and maintaining IT systems, updates, and patches.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and solutions.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of IT support experience, or equivalent technical training/education.
- Familiarity with Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with help desk/ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of IT security best practices.
Salary
$23.00 – $29.00
