Are you a passionate and skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background or interest in cardiac care? Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic team as Cardiac Care Nurses. As a leading healthcare institution in the region, we are committed to providing exceptional care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and work in a state-of-the-art facility with a dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiac conditions, including but not limited to acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac surgery.
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments according to established protocols and best practices.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and response to interventions, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Stay up to date with advancements in cardiac care nursing through continuous education and professional development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Satisfactory criminal reference check required.
