This role focuses on both front-end and back-end systems, with an emphasis on back end and end-to-end (E2E) processes that deliver an exceptional customer experience. The QE will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and monitor comprehensive testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement QA processes for e-commerce platforms to ensure functionality, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive testing plans, including test cases, scenarios, and scripts for E2E workflows.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across the e-commerce ecosystem.
  • Execute E2E testing, tracing the user journey from checkout to fulfillment.
  • Work with order management, ERP fulfillment systems and be the functional SME of backend processes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and optimize code.
  • Develop automated test scripts to reduce manual testing efforts and ensure continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
  • Utilize tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or similar for testing and reporting.
  • Work with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into testing protocols.
  • Ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations through proactive communication and feedback.
  • Provide detailed documentation of test results, metrics.
  • Work with offshore teams to align and deliver projects, mentor junior quality engineers.
  • Prepare and present quality assurance reports to stakeholders and leadership.

Experience:

  • 7+ years in QE role, preferably in e-commerce environments.
  • Hands-on experience with E2E testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and test automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, middleware integrations, databases, and web technologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, or custom-built solutions), OMS platforms (Sterling, Blue Yonder)
  • Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of security standards for online transactions.
  • This QE role is integral to the delivery of a reliable and user-friendly e-commerce experience, ensuring that every touchpoint in the customer journey meets the highest quality standards.
