Job Description:

The Stewardship Coordinator supports the Pastor of Stewardship and Operations to cultivate generosity, strengthen donor engagement, and provide administrative support. This role will coordinate stewardship efforts across four primary areas—Campaign Support, Legacy Partners Ministry, Stewardship Strategy, and Administrative Support—ensuring that communications, events, and relationships are managed effectively. The Stewardship Coordinator will serve as the key point of contact for donor-related inquiries, manage pledge and giving data, coordinate events, and help execute strategies that inspire and cultivate generosity. A full-time position, the schedule is generally Monday-Friday for a total of 40 hours.  There are regular evening events throughout the year. This position is nonexempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Campaign Support

  • Manage campaign inbox: respond to donor questions, assist with pledge setup, recurring gift adjustments, and pledge cancellations.
  • Maintain accurate campaign data lists and donor contact information.
  • Coordinate campaign communications: digital/print newsletters, pledge progress updates, thank-you messages.
  • Support donor events (pre-campaign, campaign, post-campaign, tours, dessert meetings).
  • Oversee pledge management: thank-you notes, incomplete pledge follow-up (email, letters, phone).
  • Manage campaign web updates and content.
  • Oversee Rock Database stewardship functions: connection board follow-up, pledge automation emails (new pledge, completed pledge, pledge without gift, high-value pledges).
  • Ensure database accuracy: identify duplicates, correct pledge dates, link households.
  • Monitor and manage PushPay giving: recurring gifts, daily gift summaries, failed payments, thank-you acknowledgments.

Legacy Partners Ministry

  • Manage ministry inbox and respond to donor inquiries.
  • Coordinate invitations (digital/physical) and RSVPs for Legacy Partners events, Lane Nights, and donor gatherings.
  • Plan and manage Lane Night logistics: hospitality, volunteers, catering, tech, setup, and name tags.
  • Maintain Legacy Partners database and contact lists; manage follow-ups for failed communications.
  • Ensure timely follow-up for new Legacy Partners and Prospects: welcome emails, mailings, and phone calls.
  • Support communication strategy: content development, brochures, and web updates.
  • Coordinate quarterly Core Team meetings (scheduling, agenda drafting).
  • Support donor relationship development: thank-you calls, phone invite campaigns, attendance tracking, and follow-up after events.
  • Assist with creation of other collateral and materials: emails/newsletters, reports, gifts.

Stewardship Strategy

  • Support the Pastor of Stewardship and Operations, and the Communications team to roll out general stewardship and giving strategy.
  • Coordinate Will & Estate Seminars and other stewardship-related events/resources.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support for the Pastor of Stewardship and Operations.
  • Manage calendar, schedule meetings, and handle logistics.
  • Prepare agendas, notes, and follow-up for key meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in donor relations, fundraising, or church ministry support preferred.
  • Comfortable working with databases (Rock, PushPay, similar database/donor management platforms).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a spirit of service and flexibility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a heart for building relationships and fostering generosity.  

Physical Demands

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Compensation Range: $20–$25 / hour
