Wedgewood Weddings is hiring to expand our team of skilled Maintenance Technicians to preserve the good condition and functionality of our event venues, buildings, and common grounds.
A Wedgewood Weddings Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while observing all health and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will take pride in both behind-the-scenes repairs and the event-ready presentation of our properties.
This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes, as well as ensuring the property is ready to host flawless events.
Responsibilities
Ensure all areas of the facility and grounds are maintained in good working order and ready for events
Assist in event setup: set up ceremony chairs, keep grounds tidy, and power wash walkways
Start the day with property readiness tasks, such as blowing leaves and preparing outdoor spaces
Clean and maintain bar and kitchen mats for safety and presentation
Empty, clean, refill, and add chemicals to property hot tubs
Ensure trash is removed from facilities and grounds
Perform major and minor repairs around the facility under direction of the General Manager
Assemble furniture or equipment as needed
General knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing, framing, drywall, electrical, painting, refrigeration, and landscaping
Ensure the safety of guests and employees
Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager, Regional Manager, or Director of Facilities
Understand and adhere to environmental standards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance or construction preferred
Experience in one or more trades such as drywall repair, painting, carpentry, tile, masonry, plumbing, or electrical
Attention to detail and quality-driven mindset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Capable of prioritizing tasks and completing them effectively and accurately
Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions
Must be able to lift 75 lbs. regularly and work in a standing position for long periods of time
Dependable, energetic, and comfortable with hands-on, physical work
Previous grounds or event prep experience a plus, but not required
Qualifications
Availability to respond to occasional emergencies, including weekends
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
Flexibility to support both event setup tasks and technical maintenance work
