Job Description:We are currently looking for an Development Engineer in Liège, Belgium for our Signature department.
The Signature Department plays a key role in delivering distinctive solutions tailored to unique needs. It focuses on designing and developing exclusive, one-of-a-kind projects that go beyond standard offerings, ensuring that each client receives a personalized and innovative result.
The Development Engineer will be responsible for the complete execution of the Signature project, from project inception to launch, in accordance with all product requirements, quality, schedule and budget objectives discussed with the sales team.
What you will do :
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies that integrate technical constraints, cost targets, and project timelines. This includes evaluating risks, validating design choices through simulation, and ensuring alignment with product specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
- Lead the design and adaptation of lighting solutions, optimizing for performance, cost, and sustainability. Collaborate with labs to validate prototypes and anticipate testing issues to reduce costs.
- Act as a technical reference for cross-functional teams, providing guidance on integration, validation, and industrialization.
- Own the creation and maintenance of the engineering bill of materials (e-BOM), ensuring accuracy and traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure all project documentation—including design files, validation reports, and change requests—is properly archived in accessible systems. Maintain version control and support knowledge sharing across teams.

Skills Requested
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Experience of 5 years in an industrial development area
- Mechanical design expertise (die-casting, plastic injection, metals, fixation components…)
- Creativity, Flexibility
- Stress resistant, capable to work in tight schedules
- Adaptable, work in fast changing environment
- Solidworks, PLM
- French/English (Spanish is an advantage)
