About the role
As a Planning
Engineer your responsibility is to help effectively plan internal
engineering/maintenance requirements, contractors and associated activities for
the Daldowie Plant including capital works requirements. You’ll be expected to
co-ordinate health, safety, environmental and quality compliance activities
relative to these activities and you’ll be the authorisation Level to Safety
Coordinator.
You’ll be
reporting to the Safety Planning & Compliance Engineer for all aspects of safety
& planning activities, and ensure high standards of planning activity
performance is maintained and improved on.
You’ll support
the Safety Planning and Compliance Engineer in meeting team targets to deliver
the Daldowie Business Plan and be responsible for the effective planning of
outages.
You’ll develop
and maintain equipment hierarchy on the Maximo System and generate and develop
work order cards, job cards and work requests, for pre-plans and repetitive
maintenance activities and instigate and monitor method statements for normal
operations as well as subcontractors.
Who we’re
looking for
To be
successful in this role it would be ideal if you are educated to HND level in a
relevant engineering/planning discipline, or have equivalent vocational
qualifications or experience.
You’ll be self-motivated
with a flexible approach to work including commitment to undertake a wide
variety of tasks and be able to act independently to deliver the needs of the
business.
You’ll work
through unprecedented occurrences, and to act in the best interests of the
business in a decisive manner and have great influencing and negotiating skills.
Experience in
planning duties relating to wastewater treatment/ thermal drying technology, or
other continuous process/manufacturing operations would be advantageous. You
will act as a safety controller for the site including the satellite Shieldhall
site.
Having an IOSH
certificate would also be beneficial.
