About the Role

The Corporate Tender Manager is responsible for driving successful bid outcomes by defining strategic objectives and developing comprehensive bid strategies for tenders across all markets, working hand in hand with local market leaders and functional representatives across the company’s main product and cross-functional areas. Ability to handle tender requirements and technical documents in a compliant way and owning the tender management end-to-end is key, from opportunity stage to submission all the way to follow-up. This role requires a strategic and analytical professional who can challenge and support financial aspects of bids, coordinate efforts across diverse teams, and foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing and sharing lessons learned. The Corporate Tender Manager works closely with the Global Head of Strategy and M&A, as well as colleagues in Finance, Operations, and Business Units, to ensure bids are aligned with the company’s long-term strategic goals and deliver optimal value. 

Bid Strategy Definition 

  • Define the strategic objectives for bids and develop the overall bid strategy together with local market leaders and teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities. 

Hands-on bid preparation  

  • Hands-on bid preparation – experience drafting responses, tailoring technical and commercial documents, and ensuring compliance with tender requirements. 

Financial Challenge & Support 

  • Critically review and challenge financial models and assumptions in bid proposals, collaborating with Finance to ensure robust and competitive financials. 

End-to-end tender management 

  • End-to-end tender management from opportunity scanning, decision to bid/no-bid, preparation, submission, clarifications, follow-up etc. 

Cross-Team Coordination 

  • Coordinate and align the efforts of various teams involved in the tender process, including Strategy, Finance, Operations, and Business Units, to deliver cohesive and compelling bids. 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure bid strategies and submissions reflect business priorities and market requirements.  

Lessons Learned & Best Practices 

  • Capture, analyze, and disseminate lessons learned from tender processes across all markets to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred. 
  • Fluent English (oral and written), other European languages a plus. 
  • 5+ years of experience in tender management, corporate strategy, finance, or a related field. 
  • Hands-on experience in handling tender requirements, tailoring technical documents and ensuring compliance is a strong plus 
  • Experience in the Healthcare/Diagnostics industry is a plus 
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and project management skills. 
  • Proven experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex bid processes. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Strong business acumen and ability to challenge and support financials in a strategic context.
