Capital and Financial Planning Lead (12mth FTC)
About you
You’ll be joining the Commercial Finance team as a Capital and Financial Planning Lead. You’ll be a part of a fast-growing business that is challenging the market and doing things differently.
Your Mission:
As Capital and Financial Planning Lead covering a maternity leave working a 12- month fixed term contract, you’ll be working with senior leaders across all departments of the Bank as well as the Finance team to help to deliver on the capital strategy of the bank. The team are responsible for the compilation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and management reporting.
Responsibilities:
Leading on and delivering the annual capital macroeconomic stress testing cycle for the Group and UK
Embedding and supporting the EU stress test
Accountable for proactive capital planning, reporting and forecasting on a regular basis
Managing of capital planning across new corporate structure, liaising with finance, treasury, risk and wider business stakeholders to ensure efficient communication flow and understanding of reporting requirements
Inputting into compilation of key regulatory documents (e.g. ICAAP, ILAAP, Solvent Wind down plan, Recovery plan)
Producing board level presentations
Owning and leading the end-to-end forecasting, budget and 5-year planning process
Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with the Finance, Regulatory, Treasury and Risk teams as well as executive committee
Managing investor Support
Inputting into FP&A optimisation - working with the Finance Change team to implement new systems and tools to automate and streamline planning process
What we are looking for:
Substantial experience as a qualified accountant
Experience of banking or financial services environment with a good understanding of the UK and European regulation and the PRA/FCA regulatory framework
Capital planning and experience of coordinating a Stress testing cycle embedding the results into risk appetite
Demonstrable previous experience in an FP&A planning role, stress testing, and financial modelling, capital management
Someone who is motivated, proactive and a self-starter who wants to make a difference
A willingness to improve processes and procedures with excellent attention to detail
Resilience with the ability to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines
The ability to work on your own as well as liaise with stakeholders across the business at all levels
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Screening: You’ll spend 30-45 minutes speaking to one of our recruiters learning more about the role and ClearBank, and we’ll get it know more about you, your experience and how your skills align with the role (this will be via phone or Teams video call). You can expect to hear back from us within seven days following this meeting (if things are taking longer than expected, we’ll let you know that too);
First Interview: You’ll spend one hour with a member of our hiring team focusing on your skills, competencies and your ways of working at the same time we’ll give you time to ask more questions about the role, the team and learn more about the ClearBank culture. This will be via Teams.
Second Interview: This will be a competency-based interview with one or more members of our team.
Final Stage: You will have a final meeting with the Head of Department. This will be around 45-60 minutes.
