ABOUT YOU 

As a Business Development Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the business development team in daily tasks such as event planning, and orderbook alignment as well as in performing research into potential new clients and subsequently arranging meetings with such targets with a member of the BD team

Required skills and experience

  • Some experience of online research or using databases would be advantageous.

  • Energetic, organised and self-motivated and happy to work autonomously prioritising your own workload.

  • Ability to develop both internal and external relationships.

  • Good IT literacy.

  • Technical background in pharmaceutical analytics is desirable.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY 

This is a vital role to support driving sales of analytical services that support the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry across all phases of product development and commercialisation.  These services will be delivered from one of our Centre of Excellences within the UK which includes specialised inhaled and nasal product development and manufacture with associated analytical testing as well as the design and delivery of analytical solutions to support the characterisation and quality control (including stability assessment) of biological, DNA/RNA, cell & gene or vaccine-based therapeutics.

Responsibilities

  • Effective lead management, including providing initial responses to leads and assigning any positive replies to the most appropriate BD lead.  This includes administrative management of leads within I connect. 

  • Working with sales platforms such as Global Data to identify potential clients and make initial introductions to Intertek solutions.   

  • To research and maintain awareness of competitor services and marketing activity. 

  • To research potential clients and identify stakeholders within to make initial introductions to Intertek’s solutions.   

  • To trend issues or needs within Intertek’s target sectors. 

  • To support the team in event preparation, including using partnering tools and platforms to arrange meetings with suitable BD leads and consequently provide that lead with information on the potential client.
