CarePortal, a subsidiary of The Global Orphan Project, connects people who want to help with children and families in crisis. We work alongside churches, businesses, and community partners to provide real-time support that keeps families together and prevents children from entering foster care.
Role Summary
The Angel Tree Navigator Contractor will support the Angel Tree Program in partnership with CarePortal. This role serves as a direct point of connection between families requesting assistance and CarePortal Responders, ensuring requests are processed accurately, communication is clear, and needs are met in a timely and secure manner.
This is a contractor position (independent 1099). The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Navigator Services: In exchange for the Services Fees set forth below, Navigator agrees to provide the following services (the “Navigator Services”):

Navigator will participate in a joint project with CarePortal for a duration of four (4) months from the date of this SOW (“Angel Tree Program”). Following the end of the Angel Tree Program, this SOW shall automatically terminate.

Navigator’s primary contact at CarePortal will be the Vice President of Operations of CarePortal.

Navigator will receive requests for assistance submitted on behalf of Community Members through its Angel Tree program. Navigator will contact the Community Members via SMS, email, and/or phone call to verify their desire to receive the assistance.

If the Community Member agrees to receive the assistance, Navigator will enter such requests into the CarePortal platform, using the information provided by the Community Member/Angel Tree.

Navigator will coordinate with Responders to share Community Member contact information in accordance with CarePortal’s policies and Applicable Law, to ensure that contact information is protected.

Navigator will work with the CarePortal Implementation Team and Director of Strategic Partners to coordinate with Responders, if necessary.

Navigator will close requests after verifying with the Responders the request has been met.

Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

Proficient with web-based platforms, data entry, and reporting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working with nonprofits, faith-based organizations, or social services preferred.

Self-motivated, reliable, and able to meet deadlines independently.

Willingness to complete background screening prior to onboarding.
Contract Details
Contract Term: 4 months (October 2025-January 2026)
Location: Home Office/Remote
Compensation: $1,000 biweekly (contractor, 1099)
