What you will do?
- Be responsible for a varied caseload of volume work.
- Review claims assessing who's at fault and the level of compensation within authority limits
- Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards.
- Maintain contact with our clients and their Customers whilst proactively managing their expectations.
- Meet individual performance measures (financial and quality performance measures)
- Ensure that the DAC Beachcroft brand and standards are maintained.
Who you are
- IT skills - Be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Prioritisation and Organisation Skills - the ability to structure your time well, prioritise work effectively and recognise when to ask for help.
- Interpersonal skills - communication skills to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues on the phone and in person.
- Analytical skills - The ability to critically look at factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply the same.
- Commercial sense - The ability to know the principle or law but also know when is it worth pursuing it.
- Resilience - The ability to stand your ground in a telephone negotiation and to receive feedback.
- Commitment and enthusiasm - with a professional attitude.
- Aptitude to learn – The ability to retain knowledge and implement new skills showing initiative to use available resources to problem solve.
