We currently have a permanent Technical Operative vacancy covering all areas of Fife providing a service to various agencies. Working as part of a team based at Bankhead Central covering Fife wide this demanding role could be for you.
Technical Operative:
Permanent working 36 hours per week from 09:00 to 17:12, Monday to Friday with a salary of £25,885.80 to £28,175.91.
Technical Operatives provide a specialist internal and external cleaning service across the Council and it’s partners.
This includes providing fast response emergency call out service out with normal working hours (Operatives may be required to be part of an on-call rota as and when required).
You will earn a competitive salary with access to a range of benefits, including:
£13.79 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Other duties could include:
Carrying out initial risk assessment prior to each job to identify any risks within the building/area, including identifying signs of needle/drug use and if required perform a full needle sweep and complete relevant records.
Cleaning up of biohazards, including bodily fluids such as faeces and blood, fumigation of premises for flees etc. use of specialist chemicals.
Clearing and cleaning of domestic premises, gardens, sheds and garages for Housing and Social Work, including removal of unwanted items, disinfection of premises and deep cleaning, including the reporting and arranging for the safe keeping of any valuable items found. On occasion this task is carried out in the presence of the resident, who is likely to be a vulnerable adult.
The Person
Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
A driving licence is required for this post (including Class C1 vehicles).
You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
