The Test Instrumentation Engineer will:

  • Mid-level Test Instrumentation Engineer in setup and operation of Optical Measurement Systems (ARAMIS, Video Image Correlation, Leica Laser Trackers), Instrumentation, and NASA Data Acquisition Systems for Structural Strength Testing.
     
  • Setup, calibrate, and operate Trilion ARAMIS camera systems to measure 3D (X, Y, Z) position of discrete points.
     
  • Setup, calibrate, and operate Trilion ARAMIS camera systems to measure full field of view strain and deflection of speckled area-of-interest.
     
  • Setup, calibrate, and operate Correlated Solutions VIC-3D camera systems to measure full field of view strain and deflection of speckled area-of-interest.
     
  • Interface ARAMIS and VIC-3D systems to ET30 SLTMAS data system software to record data in STLMAS dataset.
     
  • Knowledge of required cameras, lighting, lenses, cabling, calibration techniques, and speckle patterns required to achieve customer-specified field-of-views and accuracies.    

Job Duties will include:

  • Coordination with NASA project level customers across organizations to ensure mission success.
     
  • Work with a diverse team of civil servants and contractors to design, develop, setup, and perform structural testing on space flight qualification hardware, and other mission critical hardware.
     
  • Participate in a Beyond Zero Safety Culture, attend safety meetings, task meetings, design reviews, and test readiness reviews as requested to support ESSCA and customer requirements.
     
  • Develop and deliver reports and presentations as requested to support ESSCA and customer requirements via Power Point and other various software packages.
     
  • Perform safety and certification training to support ESSCA and customer requirements.

Degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred.
