JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Fleet and Investment Recovery Coordinator. 

 

Reporting to the (RA) insert reporting to Senior Manager, Supply Chain, this position is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of OPG's fleet, the upcoming electrification strategy and investment recovery. This role involves assessing current relationships, reviewing acquisition strategies, and ensuring compliance with licensing and insurance requirements. This role involves liaising with internal stakeholders, maintaining contracts, and managing relationships with external brokers and partners.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Fleet Electrification Strategy: Lead the execution of fleet electrification initiatives, aligning financial, contractual, and acquisition strategies with electric vehicle integration while supporting stakeholder needs.
  • Licensing and Insurance: Manage all fleet licensing and insurance requirements, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Investment Recovery: Oversee investment recovery processes tied to fleet lifecycle and surplus assets, including monthly financial reconciliations.
  • Contract Management: Maintain and negotiate contracts with fleet brokers, MTO, and recovery partners to ensure favorable terms and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Support: Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing updates, resolving issues, and supporting fleet and recovery needs.
  • Process Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve fleet and recovery processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of fleet and investment recovery activities for compliance and decision-making.
  • Privileged Access and Governance: Implement governance documentation, access reviews, and privileged access controls to ensure continuity and security across fleet operations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a  four-year university education in Business, Engineering or Applied Science and having over 6 years and up to and including 8 years is considered necessary to gain this experience
  • Proven experience in fleet management, investment recovery, and contract strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of electrification strategies and financial management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve issues proactively and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with fleet licensing and insurance processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
