Job Summary:
The Reliability Engineer is to be accountable for results in the areas of Environment, Health and Safety, Productivity, Asset Management, People Development, Cost Control and Quality using lean manufacturing systems such as TPM, Kaizen, daily Management, 5S etc. The Reliability Engineer will engage the resources at his/her disposal to meet the department objectives in support of the business objectives. These objectives will be achieved without sacrificing a spirit of cooperation with other areas.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Aid in the development of equipment, system and location hierarchy
- Lead the efforts in performing criticality analysis and determination of risk priority numbers for the site’s assets
- Lead the efforts in performing RCM/FMEA on critical assets
- Aid in the development of equipment maintenance plans
- Coordinate the implementation of the reliability-based maintenance strategies
- Define reliability-based queries and reports to support a continuous improvement process
- Perform the RCA’s on contributors to yield, utilization and capacity losses (attributed to equipment, processes, etc.)
- Execute the identification and resolution of chronic failures
- Perform calculations and optimizations of asset life-cycle costs
- Provide support to site’s Business Interruption/Loss Prevention programs
- Provide support to site’s EHS programs
- Lead initiatives to optimize equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency, including power-saving strategies.
- Develop and analyze downtime reports while identifying trends and providing insights for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, fostering a safe working environment.
Also note:
- This position reports to the Central Services Lead Area Manager. This role is eligible for relocation assistance. Travel can be up to 10%.
Qualifications
You have: (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with the application of Six Sigma, 5S and/or Lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing setting.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)
- Master’s degree in business administration, or Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance reliability experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with various personnel in a variety of settings (shop floor, peers, plant leadership, etc.)
