The Clinical Coordinator supports the Program Director in administering the program by developing structured clinical criteria that meet or exceed the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) standards. This role oversees clinical schedules and rotations, mentors clinical instructors, and provides didactic and clinical instruction. The Clinical Coordinator reviews clinical objectives with students to ensure they are understood, integrated with academic coursework, and effectively applied in clinical settings. Additionally, they regularly monitor students’ progress in the clinical environment, intervening when objectives are not met. The Clinical Coordinator also assists the Program Director with student recruitment and selection, counseling, program development and evaluation, and maintaining program accreditation to ensure a high-quality education.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required or must be obtained within two years of hire. Minimum of five years of clinical experience performing neurodiagnostic procedures. At least two years of experience in didactic and/or practical teaching in clinical neurodiagnostics. Demonstrates strong leadership skills, including excellent verbal and written communication, organization, critical thinking, attention to detail, and strategic thinking. Consistently upholds professionalism when interacting with patients, staff, and leadership, serving as a role model for student behavior. Must be able to work independently to meet deadlines. Proficiency in computer skills is essential, including experience with learning management systems (LMS), Microsoft software programs, and multiple clinical platforms. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Must be certified through one of the following organizations: ABRET – Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM and CAP); American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM: CNCT); American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET: R.NCS.T.) and/or Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT: RPSGT)
