YOUR DAY TO DAY:
As our Assembler IV, you'll perform a variety of electronic, mechanical, or composite assembly tasks in support of our SATCOM Antenna business. You've got demonstrated skills of a fully experienced and versatile assembler with the ability to produce a consistent high production level and high quality of product.
Machines & Equipment used:
Soldering irons, soldering aids, cutters, skill saws, and applicable hand tools, vacuum equipment, RF induction heating equipment, cold test equipment, spot welding, laser welding and heliair welding equipment, brazing equipment, measuring calipers, voltmeters, electronic multi-meter, heat guns, glue guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines, etc. Composite assemblers will work with pneumatic and hand tools, gel coating and spray painting or spray gun, buffing and sanding equipment
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Performs diverse, intricate, high-level electronic, mechanical, or assembly work requiring experience and versatility.
- Uses all assembly tools with facility. May make own set-up.
- Comprehensive understanding of assembly sketches, blueprints, and schematics.
- Performs rework resulting from drawing change notices and initiates as necessary.
- Ensures quality and personal conformance to specifications using appropriate testing equipment.
- Employs an overall understanding of assembly techniques, utilizing skills normally in two or more production areas.
- Trains assemblers with less experience. Exercises leadership skills withing team functions.
- Assists engineering in supporting documentation and process improvement initiatives.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:
- Experienced with related tools or machines, capable of intricate work.
- Ability to train and lead others and have a high aptitude for quality and conformance to engineering standards.
- Installing and configuring applications Installed or configured business-critical software or Managed software installation, updates and troubleshooting across Windows and macOS environments
- May require completion of the following courses: Overview of Applied Vacuum Technology, Fundamentals of Vacuum
- Basic HR practices and interviewing techniques, basic leadership
- Must have the ability to follow safety protocols and practices
- Ability to work on a team
- Good eye/hand coordination
- High School Diploma or GED required, AA degree in technical field preferred
- Ten (10) years’ related assembly experience preferred
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Above average manual dexterity.
- Able to use microscope for extended periods of time
- Able to sit/stand for long periods of time
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
