Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking 
dedicated and compassionate Social Worker 5-B to join our team at the Monroe Behavioral Health Clinic. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families while working alongside a collaborative treatment team in a supportive, mission-driven environment. The incumbent will plan, prioritize, and manage clinical treatment services for complex behavioral health cases. Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred.

Position Duties

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:

A master's degree in social work followed by four years of social services experience.

Job Duties:

  • Supervises and coordinates work assignments, workflow, and duty activities of clinical staff who provide direct services to consumers while also evaluating the work performance of assigned staff. This includes conducting monthly individual and group supervisory meetings, case consultations, and making caseload adjustments.
  • Manages the referral, assessment, treatment, and group assignment for treatment programs, as well as assisting with the Medication Assisted Treatment Program (MAT).
  • Provides treatment services and manages a caseload while planning, prioritizing, and managing clinical treatment services for complex behavioral health cases. Actions include completing initial biopsychosocial assessments, annual reassessments, ASIs, and all assigned tools per NEDHSA policy.
  • Attends in-service staff training and completes required training promptly, as well as participates in community and marketing/networking events.
  • Serves as backup to treatment, medical, and support staff at NEDHSA's clinics and assists with developing and revising polices relating to best standard clinical practices.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type:   Probational, Promotional, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, or Detail to Special Duty

Compensation: NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans.

  • 2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice: NHSC will pay up to $50,000* for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians.
(Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)
