Essential Duties for CT Technologist:
- Responsible for operating CT scanning equipment and assisting physicians/radiologists.
- Provide appropriate and safe patient care.
- Consistently apply working knowledge pertaining to CT anatomy and patho-physiology to produce a high standard of quality images while under the direction of a radiologist.
Requirements
- Required: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent hospital-based program.
- Required: Current ARRT and State of Florida certification to practice medical radiography.
- Complete the required hours of continuing education per certification or annual period to satisfy State of Florida and federal requirements. Complete required hours of continuing education per certification or annual period as required by ACR, IAC, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Required: CT certification by ARRT CT Technologist must always maintain a current CPR certification.
- Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience: 3 years or more of radiography experience is preferred in an outpatient setting
