As an Electrical Component & Validation Engineer, you will provide electrical technical support to design and operations teams, enabling world-class manufacturing of advanced electro-optic products through rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Electrical technical support for the design & operations teams
- Troubleshoot and provide failure analysis for Electrical Systems & associated parts rejected in QC, production, or by a customer
- Define test requirements for measurement PCBs, and other electrical components. Create & execute comprehensive test plans based on product specifications and industry standards. Perform electrical tests on products, components, and systems
- Design automated and manual electrical test fixtures to support new and existing products. Create test software. Create fixture layout. Define optical and metrology hardware requirements. Assemble, align and test fixture
- Analyze defect and failure data and provide Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA). Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and other teams to develop solutions.
Required Skills and Competencies
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with a background in PCB design, electrical motors & cables, electrical system design, and Windows PCs.
- 5–15 years of relevant work experience in an industrial product environment.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of PCBs, components, electrical system design, and electronic test equipment.
- Programming/software experience, particularly in C#.net and Python (MATLAB preferred but not required).
- Ability to interpret schematics and troubleshoot to the component level, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
