Job Description

The Family Office Consultant I is primarily responsible for administering a wide variety of family office services for the most complex/high profile relationships that may have banking, personal trust, custody, investment agency, IRA and estate accounts. Works closely with Wealth Advisors, Investment Advisors, Trust Advisors, Specialty Asset Managers, Financial Planners, Family Stewardship Consultants and external advisors to define clients’ administrative and service requirements and coordinates the legal, tax and specialized accounting aspects for ultra- high net worth families. Generally, works independently, with some direction from manager. This role should be able to communicate across all the different sets of client financial data sources to consolidate and aggregate information.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will collaborate with the Director of Family Office Services helping to support building a team that will work closely with BOK’s Wealth team members and leadership teams, throughout the markets we serve.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating administrative needs of the largest account relationships within Private Wealth with complex needs such as trusts, partnership structures, corporate and charitable entities
  • You will be ready, equipped and prepared to step in when the Family Office Director is traveling or not available.
  • You will help to identify clients and partner with advisors to uncover needs within their client base that would benefit from Family Office Services.
  • You will be assessing client needs and bringing in appropriate resources
  • You will coordinate or set up clients for robust bill pay, bookkeeping solutions and comprehensive reporting needs
  • You’ll need a strong understanding of fee structures and invoicing, Wealth Digital platforms, Private Banking and Treasury Services and Wealth Management solutions

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and professional certification; or post-graduate degree and 3-5 years of experience in Trust Administration related experience or equivalent work experience of 9-11 years.

  • Strong knowledge of the interpretation and practical application of document provisions, probate law, taxes, investments, and the legal framework of estate and trust administration
  • Solid knowledge of financial, estate and tax planning
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical ability and be able to resolve questions arising from account administration
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leadership ability, social and professional etiquette
  • Proficient PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Proven ability to act independently in document interpretation, decision making regarding administration of account relationships, and interaction with professionals such as attorneys and CPA’s
